Your town, with the people in it.
Hey is an independent local publishing platform. A simpler way for people who know what’s happening to keep everyone else in the know.
Your voice, in your words.
Registered contributors can prepare updates for editorial review. Residents, local businesses, organizations, and creators can text tips to (978) 933-9350. Automated text replies are not active yet.
Verification with meaning.
Email confirmation, organizational relationships, and publishing access are separate. An editor checks evidence before granting a publishing scope. No one can approve their own verification.
Correct it. Keep the history.
Published versions retain their source and revision history. Editors can request changes or withdraw an update. Expired updates disappear from the public site without deleting the editorial record.
What’s real here today?
Hey brings together local source summaries, a searchable directory, community calendars, and a Rangers sports planner. Choose several teams, compare their game times, and export a calendar. Estimated game lengths are labeled; check official schedules before traveling.
Our first Methuen edition was checked against city, school, library, and organization sources on October 3, 2026. Each summary links to its source. Listings do not imply that an organization has partnered with Hey, and we are independent of the City of Methuen.
This is an early edition. Our editorial desk reviews tips and source information before publishing. Source checks happen in supervised batches, not continuously. Registration is currently by invitation; existing contributors can sign in at their desk.
Where AI fits.
AI will help turn source evidence into a draft, spot missing details, and suggest updates. It will not assign access or turn uncertainty into fact. The editorial desk works manually now, so people can always review or correct the system.
Corrections and concerns.
Spotted an incorrect date, a moved game, or an outdated listing? Text (978) 933-9350 or email accounts@heymethuen.com with the page and the original source. Our editor can correct or withdraw published information and retain the revision history.
